Massage Therapy

Therapeutic Massage

The purpose of a therapeutic massage extends beyond the goal of relaxation. This service is provided in order to achieve specific therapeutic goals. These goals may include (but are not limited to) improving mobility, decreasing muscular tone, or relieving pain. In addition, a therapeutic massage can improve circulation and induce relaxation. Therapeutic massage may be chosen as a stand-alone treatment, or in combination with other services such as chiropractic and physiotherapy. This service involves a variety of hands-on techniques focused on treating the specific area of injury or pain. The therapist will use their clinical expertise to choose appropriate techniques based on a client’s impairments, pain levels, and therapeutic goals.
