Gait Analysis

A gait analysis is a formal, systematic assessment of a person’s walking pattern. Skilled clinicians have the ability detect gait abnormalities through careful observation.  For patients who describe increased discomfort with walking or running, a gait assessment is important to determine the true source of the problem. Understanding the unique ways that people move helps therapists to identify patterns that may be causing pain and to determine strategies to mitigate the problem.

Correcting dysfunctional movement patterns and learning how to optimize biomechanics may be part of the solution leading to your recovery!
