Dry Needling

Dry Needling is a method by which single use, sterilized needles are inserted into trigger points throughout the body. A trigger point is a taught band of muscle that is often the source of pain. By inserting a thin needle, the therapist has the ability to treat underlying tissues that are not always palpable manually. Once inserted, the therapist will stimulate the needle manually, which initiates relaxation of the trigger point. This technique is highly effective in reducing pain and achieving long-lasting results.
